The Uswatte Group traces its roots to 1956, when brothers Christie and Anton Perera founded it, and its flagship sweet, Glucorasa, became popular across the island. Uswatte Golden Biscuits, the group's biscuit arm, launched in 2018 with a factory in Millaniya, Bandaragama.
