Katta is a Sri Lankan dried and fried fish preparation. This AMK version is a spicy onion style made with queen fish, in the form of a rich, dark, chilli-red relish eaten in small amounts with rice and bread. The Sinhala on the label reads කට්ටා කරවල බැදුම and the Tamil reads பொரித்த கட்டாகருவாடு.
