Elephant House Necto is the bright pink, raspberry-flavoured carbonated soft drink from Ceylon Cold Stores PLC in Sri Lanka, here in the single-serving 330 ml can. It is the sweet party drink of Sri Lankan childhoods, poured at birthday parties and New Year tables alongside cream soda and EGB. Sweetened with sugar and steviol glycosides; suitable for vegetarians.

What it is
A vivid pink fruit soda with a raspberry flavour, sweet and fizzy, closer to a raspberry cream soda than to a cola. It is famous in Sri Lanka for leaving your tongue pink, and it is the drink children ask for at parties.
How to use
Chill and drink straight from the can, or pour over ice. It is a fixture at children's birthday parties and New Year tables alongside cream soda and EGB. One can is a single serving.
Serving ideas
Serve it with birthday cake and short eats, or pour it over a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a pink float.

What flavour is Necto?
Necto is raspberry flavoured: sweet, fizzy and vividly pink. It tastes like a fruit soda rather than a cola, closest to a raspberry cream soda, and it is one of the three classic Elephant House party drinks with cream soda and EGB.
Does it contain artificial colours?
Yes. The ingredient list on the 1.5 L bottle names colours INS 124, INS 122 and INS 133, plus an artificial Necto flavour. If you avoid azo dyes, check the ingredient panel on your can before serving.
How much sugar is in a can?
The 1.5 L bottle panel gives 7.3 g of sugars per 100 ml, so a 330 ml can has about 24 g. Part of the sweetness comes from steviol glycosides. Check the can for its exact figures.
Is it the same drink as in Sri Lanka?
