MD Pineapple Nectar is a non-carbonated Sri Lankan pineapple fruit drink in a 200 ml glass bottle, made from pineapple juice, water and sugar. It is a ready-to-drink single-serve nectar: chill it and drink it from the bottle or pour it over ice. The label marks it non-carbonated and export quality.

What it is
A nectar is a fruit drink made from fruit juice diluted with water and sweetened, so it is lighter and sweeter than pure juice. MD Pineapple Nectar is the Sri Lankan lunchbox and tea-time staple in a small glass bottle, with a mild, sweet pineapple flavour and a light golden colour.
How to serve
Serve well chilled. Shake gently, open and drink from the bottle, or pour over ice. It also works as a base for a pineapple spritzer with sparkling water or a mixer for a fruit punch. Refrigerate after opening and finish the bottle the same day.

Water, pineapple juice, sugar, citric acid (E330), stabilizer (E415), natural beta-carotene (E160a) and the permitted preservative sodium metabisulphite (E223), as listed by the manufacturer. Check the bottle you receive for the exact list.
Contains sodium metabisulphite, a sulphite preservative; people who are sensitive to sulphites should avoid it. None of the major US food allergens is listed as an ingredient. Refer to the allergen statement on the bottle.

Is MD Pineapple Nectar 100% juice?
No. It is a nectar: pineapple juice diluted with water and sweetened with sugar. If you want pure juice, this is not it; if you want a light, sweet pineapple drink, it is.
Is it carbonated?
No. The label says non-carbonated. It is a still drink.
Does it contain preservatives?
Yes. The manufacturer lists sodium metabisulphite (E223), a sulphite preservative, plus citric acid. People who are sensitive to sulphites should avoid it.
